Bay Square is a low-rise 13-building complex with well-connected pedestrian-only zones that are studded with a myriad of tranquil ponds and fountains.  It was a major undertaking that took the Dubai Properties Group eight years to complete. The project, which began in 2007, was completed in 2014. Bay Square is an AED 4 billion project that covers 5 million square feet of land and was created by Khatib Alami. A million square feet of the space are set aside for commercial usage.

The layout of Bay Square consists of eight commercial buildings, three residential buildings, and one four-star hotel. These buildings, which range in height from ten to fourteen stories, include a combined 570 offices, 326 homes, and 123 shops. The apartments with one or two bedrooms and studios that look out over the surrounding make up the residential units. There are numerous eateries and cafes in the complex’s pedestrian-only area.
